How It Started: From Roatán to the World

Our journey to empower educators began long before BEA was born.

2022: Building the First Bitcoin Education Center

We opened the first AmityAge Bitcoin Education Center in Roatán, Honduras – a place where locals and visitors could learn about Bitcoin in a practical and accessible way. We focused on:
• teaching Bitcoin fundamentals
• financial responsibility and self-custody
• scam prevention and security
• workshops, diplomas, and meetups for schools and communities

2023: A New Realization

We asked ourselves: How can we scale education to reach 100 million people?
The answer was clear: by training more educators, not more students.

If we tried to educate students ourselves, we would never reach this number within our lifetime. But if we bring educators into local communities and train them how to teach about Bitcoin, together we can achieve it. It’s our shared mission — to educate 100,000,000 people about Bitcoin. Local educators understand their communities best — they know the challenges people face and can show how Bitcoin can be the solution.

2024: The Birth of the Bitcoin Educators Academy

We launched the first BEA – a 3-day “Train-the-Trainers” program focused not on what Bitcoin is, but how to teach it effectively. This project has gone through its own journey — from the initial idea of a 10-day academy for teachers organized at our Bitcoin Center on Roatán, to a 2-day pilot academy in Slovakia, and later to a 4-day academy in Germany designed exclusively for women.

Our goal, however, was to find the golden balance — to make the academy accessible to everyone. That’s why we decided to travel to communities around the world and bring the academy directly to them.

What Makes BEA Unique?

BEA is a 3-day intensive academy designed to turn Bitcoiners into effective communicators, speakers, and local leaders.

It is not a technical Bitcoin course. It is about how to teach Bitcoin in a simple, relatable, and impactful way. It’s focused most on the soft skills.

Participants learn:
🎤 public speaking & storytelling, because it’s not just what you say, but how you deliver it. If people are disconnected, education doesn’t happen. That’s why we focus on your eye contact, posture, voice projection, gestures, and emotional connection, so that your speech truly lands with impact, your message resonates, and inspires action.

🛠️ How to explain Bitcoin through analogies, because technical accuracy alone doesn’t create understanding. We teach how to use everyday examples that make Bitcoin relatable and simple.

For example, a one-way function is like grinding meat: once it’s done, you can never get the original pieces back. Such analogies make even complex concepts easy to grasp for non-technical audiences.

🧠 how to handle objections and debunk myths, because many people, when they hear a concern like “Bitcoin destroys the planet” or “It can be banned,” immediately start explaining why that’s not true. At BEA, we teach a different approach: before responding, listen to understand the real fear or misunderstanding behind the question. Only then can you respond with empathy, clarity, and confidence — turning confrontation into connection.

Our goal is to build the human infrastructure for Bitcoin adoption.
